The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, has announced that some important members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will join the ruling party next week.
In the past few weeks, many politicians from opposition parties have joined the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Recently, the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, joined the APC, and the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, is expected to officially defect soon.
Speaking at a meeting with APC members in Jos, Plateau State, Yilwatda said: “Next week, I will receive some well-known figures from the ADC. Some of them had left the PDP for the ADC before, but they are now coming back to the APC.”
He added that many of the new members “have already completed their medical checks” and will be formally welcomed next week.
“In two weeks, we will also unveil another big politician who just completed his medicals. He almost announced it himself a few days ago, but we will officially receive him soon,” he said.
Yilwatda described the APC as “the bride of the moment”, meaning that many politicians now want to join the party. He said several senators, governors, and lawmakers were preparing to become APC members.
“The APC welcomes everyone,” he said. “You don’t have to be among the first members to grow in the party. I am proof of that. Once you join, you have full rights and privileges. That is the spirit of our party.”
