Full List of Players to Represent Nigeria at AFCON 2026

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced the players invited to represent Nigeria at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be held in Morocco next year.

Some new faces are included in the Super Eagles squad, such as goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu.

Chelle sent the list to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). The squad has 28 players: 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders, and 9 attackers. The tournament will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

The Nigerian team includes many young players. In defence, Ryan Alebiosu of Blackburn Rovers has been invited for the first time. Igoh Ogbu of Slavia Prague is also included among the defenders.

In midfield, Nigeria will be represented by young Inter Milan player Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, who came through the Remo Stars Academy. He is joined by Usman Muhammad, who plays in Israel, and former Flying Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi.

In attack, Croatia-based striker Lawal Salim Fago, a former Flying Eagles star, has received his first invitation to the senior national team.
