Nentawe, APC National Chairman, Welcomes Northern Minority Group’s Support For Tinubu

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof Nentawe Goshwe Yiltwada has described as patriotic the support by minorities ethnic groups in Northern Nigeria for the return of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to office in 2027.

Professor Yiltwada spoke in Abuja when he received the leadership of the Northern Nigeria Minorities Group led by its Convener, Chief Jacob Edi at the APC National Secretariat.

Represented by Dr Mustapha Bala Dawaki, his Chief of Staff; Prof Yiltwada said all initiatives to support the current government is well considered as the administration means well for the country.

He said that the NNMG has taken the initiative to support the President independently reflects a deep appreciation of the good work the President is doing and shows that group is concerned about thedevelopment of Nigeria.

Prof Yiltwada said he has observed the activities of the group for a while and notes their contributions towards supporting the current administration.

He said for the leaders and members of the group to have spared time and resources to promote the interest of the Tinubu led APC administration and defend a right cause without prompting from any quarters shows that the group is “patriotic and means well for Nigeria.”

Convener, Chief Jacob Edi had earlier explained that the group was formed to support good initiatives aimed at improving the lot of the citizenry.

He added that the NNMG has observed how the Tinubu led administration has been fair in the allocation of projects and appointments of key personnel in his government based on merit and objectivity.

He said through this, the minority ethnic groups in northern Nigeria have benefitted from a number of projects and appointments that include the establishment of a North Central Development Commission, a federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, Kaduna State; Nigeria College of Aviation Technology in Kwara State; many road projects and his support for Prof Nentawe to emerge as APC national chairman.

Chief Edi said the group represents the over 200 minority ethnic groups in northern Nigeria and has members spread across the 19 northern states.

“We are ready to work day and night to ensure President Tinubu not only wins a second term but delivers a resounding unchallengeable victory that will silence doubters and consolidate progress”he stated.

The group at the end of the courtesy call presented a symbolic membership card to the APC national chairman and letter requesting him to be the patron of the group.
