Oil Prices Rise After OPEC+ Limits Production Increase

Oil prices went up on Wednesday after OPEC+ decided not to raise oil production much next month.

Brent crude rose by 48 cents to $65.93 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate increased by 51 cents to $62.24.

OPEC+ agreed to increase production by only 137,000 barrels per day, the smallest option discussed during their recent meeting.

The rise in prices comes as traders expect oil prices to keep climbing, partly due to restrictions on Russian oil exports.

Investors are also waiting for new U.S. oil inventory data to see how it might affect global prices.
