Religious leaders receive an apology from Abore Awujale for remarks he made

Chief Rasak Adeneye Oshimodi, the Olowa Iberu and Abore Awujale, has apologized to both Christian and Muslim clerics in Ijebuland as well as to other organizations for his recent social media remark that went viral and disparaged them.

Oshimodi has completely retracted his claim that some Muslim and Christian clergy have been approaching him in an attempt to expand their congregations’ membership by asking for help, spiritual support, and further powers.

The Abore Awujale said he had retracted all of his earlier statements on the subject and apologized that his remarks, which were shared on social media, have been adversely hurting the churches and mosques.

“Whoever I have wronged should forgive me from the bottom of their heart,” he said, pleading for forgiveness from the impacted Christian and Muslim clerics and their organizations.

Oshimodi also revealed that all sacrifices required for the late Oba Adetona’s passage had been completed, promising that the kingdom would continue to prosper.

He pointed out that anyone who opposes and asserts that the Ijebu people’s tradition and culture are extinct or no longer powerful is truly lying to themselves.

The governing family has been shown unity and orderliness during the ongoing selection process, which the Abore Awujale praised.
