A fine of 45,000 euros ($53,000) was also cut to 6,000 euros, but the Andalusian club said it would appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport and “exhaust all possible legal avenues”.
Sevilla sit 10th in La Liga after picking up 20 points from 17 games and take on bottom side Levante at home on Sunday as the league resumes following the winter break.
