Many important guests attended the ceremony, including state governors and members of Buhari’s family.
The book, which comes in several volumes, tells the story of Buhari’s life and career. It covers his time as a military officer, his role as head of state from 1983 to 1985, and his years as a democratically elected president from 2015 to 2023.
Edited by Dr. Udu Yakubu, the book includes writings from different contributors, including a memoir by former presidential spokesman Femi Adesina. It talks about Buhari’s efforts to promote national unity, fight corruption, and develop infrastructure.
The book also discusses debates and criticisms about Buhari’s economic policies and security issues during his time in office.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari died on July 13, 2025, at the age of 82 in a hospital in London after a long illness. He was later buried in his hometown, Daura, in Katsina State, during a state funeral attended by leaders from the region.
