U.S. Lawmaker Accuses Kwankwaso of Role in Killings of Christians in Nigeria

A U.S. lawmaker, Riley Moore, has accused former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of being involved in the killing of Christians in Nigeria.

Moore made the claim after Kwankwaso criticized reports of a possible U.S. military intervention in Nigeria.

He wrote online that Kwankwaso “signed the law that made blasphemy punishable by death” when he introduced Sharia law in Kano in 2000.

Responding earlier to comments by former U.S. President Donald Trump, Kwankwaso warned against foreign interference, saying Nigeria’s insecurity affects both Muslims and Christians.

He urged the U.S. to support Nigeria through diplomacy and technology rather than threats and called for national unity.

Moore said he would push for investigations into what he described as “genocide against Christians” in Nigeria, as Trump hinted at possible military action.

Nigeria’s government has denied the claims, saying it protects the rights of all citizens. President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed that Nigeria upholds religious freedom and remains committed to peace and unity.
