INTERVIEW
1. Exchange of pleasantries
2. Sir who is Dino Melaye?
There is nothing really much about Dino Melaye, like I have already said my name is Dino Melaye , 2 times Senator and formal member of House of Representative Representing Kogi West
Senatorial district, i am a human right activist, a public communicator and a social justice advocate
these are the few things I can say about me.
3. How Can You Access The Entire Scenario On The Country’s Present State?
Nigeria as a country is in a state of failure and incapacitated governance, as such the youth of this country
are generally tired, now they feel it is time they come out to see an end to bad governance through the
#Endsars protest of which i am in support of, and i urge them not to be discouraged by forces attempting to sabotage their struggle and voices.
4. Following Up On The Attempt Of Hoodlums That Tried To Burn Down Your House In Your Home Town, Aiyetoro-gbede, Does This Action Has Anything To Do With The #Endsars Protest Or From Political Opponents?
They didn’t burned down the house, Yes! there was an attempt by some sponsored hoodlums to burned down my house at my home town yesterday, and these sponsored hoodlums were brought outside my senatorial district, the interesting part of the story is, the people of my village male and female, old and young came out in massive number and stood for me in my absence,
Saying Dino Melaye has been our only hope and helping hand in this village he sponsored our
children on scholarships he gave us water, built schools and road, he also extended a hand of
fellowship to us when demanded therefore if you are burning his house you burn us first; i’m
talking of old women of 80 to 90 years all came out and slept over in my house to keep vigil till
the next morning so this is a great pleasure for me to hear that my people stood for me in my
absence.
5. As an Elderstateman and a distinguish senator of the country, what will be the best
approach for this unrest?
I that the best approach to these issue is to listen to the youths, meet their needs by providing
jobs, better education, processing building of more schools, good Hospitals facilities where
your region and tribe is not a parasite for the doctors and nurses to attend to a patient.
6. Distinguished Sir, Do You See Any Political Coloration In The #Endsars Protest So
Far?
Endsars protest is a positive innovation and idea by the great nigerian youth before hoodlums
highjacked it from them, and these hoodlums are sponsored politically by some ungrateful
politicians, but my advise to Nigerian youth is to keep pushing, believe they can end bad
governance through this.
7. Having Said That Sir, Do You Believe That Nigeria As A Country Is Under Any
Leadership Siege?
There is a need to reboot the Nigerian System of Government, people needs
What it appears to me is the leadership of Nigeria is said to be incapacitated and
incompetence.
Nigerians are demanding for a kind of leadership that the set of people in power does not have.
Therefore there is a better Leadership who is not based, who feels the people’s pain, who
carried the burdens of the people and not someone who is heartless as an individual.
